Hey there it's been a while!

Did you miss me? I know I missed you all! I know I've gotten a peek into your lives through Instagram and even Pinterest. I am glad to see you all doing wonderfully and with tons of projects up your sleeves!
It's been a little busy and travel filled for me over the last 6 or 7 months and well, I think its time I make a little come back for ME! Not just here in this little blog of mine, but in my life.

There will be loads of things I want to tell you about, so get ready, because you will be seeing some stories and photos of what I've been up to and all of the remodeling that has happened in my casita.

We are closer to FRIDAY!

Ok...so I'll spill the beans...

I've never been quite the frequent writer on my blog, but I like to bring you sunshine and sprinkles whenever I can. It helps me look at the bright side of things, even when my little corner holds a little cloud overhead. Another reason, well, it's because I still like my privacy. I haven't quite told you everything that has been going on. Not just because of privacy, but for fear of jinxing things.

For the last few months hubby and I have been staying at my sister's house. She and her hubby have been uber welcoming to us. I mean, she and I have shared a room for half of our lives and we would fight like crazy. Now, under the same roof, but in different rooms, we get along much better. It may also help that our husbands also get a long like brothers. Overall, the fact that we are here is a win-win for both parties.

Why are we here? Well, we sold our home. Although this part was easy, buying a house has not been easy. We've encountered our share of difficulties with sellers, banks, and appraisers. For the last month a half we had an eye on the perfect house. We spent all the extras to make sure we were on par...and then BAM...it became a no go. What can I tell you other than, its the shits. 

So as I sit here complaining of not having enough space for myself, not having my entire closet with me, and not being able to walk around naked in my house...I am also super thankful that I have a roof over my head, that I am able to save some money, and that I get to see my family on the daily. I am also much closer to my sister and my parents than I was some time ago.

So I am sure the right home will come along soon. Because if it is meant to be...it will be.

Until then....we will just keep our fingers and toes crossed.

oh...and do lots of breathing techniques, because my anxiety is through the roof!

Wow...has it really been almost a week since my last post? Well I've actually been working on this little beauty for a while now ;)  And I'm so happy I found some wonderful new blogs to share it with. The lovely Nat at 23seventeen nominated me for a Liebster award a few weeks ago!
I have done this little puppy before [Liebster Award Time], but this time, it's Natalie's rules!

11 THINGS ABOUT ME:
1. In mid-December, I signed up to run my first half-marathon in January. Scratch that off my bucket list!
2. My favorite coffee drink is Starbuck's Tall Cafe Mocha, non-fat, no whip, 2 pumps. ooooh, and the infamous Pumpkin Spice Latte.
3. I married my high school sweetheart 11 years after we became "official" boyfriend and girlfriend.
4. My brother and sister have green eyes. Me, on the other hand, I have dark brown eyes.
5. I did a little road tripping to watch a certain come back boyband [NKOTB] on tour from 2009-2011.
6. I really want to travel to Turkey, Greece, and France.
7. I own way too many boots, scarves, and coats for a Miami girl.
8. I've been sleeping on an air mattress for the last month.
9. The first time I got drunk I was 16 with my friend in Mexico.
10. I wanted to be a singer when I was little. Now I'm just a superstar in the shower and in my car.
11. I was in a movie [here]! I actually made it on screen for about 15 seconds! (ok maybe less, ha!)

1. What is the meaning behind your blog name?

My friends called me Andiepants and I love to travel...although I don't do much of it as I'd like to. I wanted a place to put up my photographs from my travels for others to see.

2. Why do you blog?

Now I blog to tell others about me. To vent. To journal my life and my dreams. To laugh at my shennanigans. oh..and to post my photos!

3. What is your favorite song of all time?

That's hard to say. I can change favorite songs all the time. But I guess "Total Eclipse of the Heart" is definitely one of all time faves. The one currently on repeat is Taylor Swift's: I Knew You Were Trouble"!

4. Which hair style do you wish you could pull off. (provide link if ya wanna)

Bangs! I really want the straight bangs hairstyle! Unfortunately my hair is wavy and a little greasy and so is my face. So things get stuck on my face in a non-pretty way.

5. What is your next book you are planning to read? What is it about?

I've been stuck on the Hunger Games since the summer. I already watched the movie, but I figured I get started...or finished before the other movies come out!

I will finish the half-marathon in less than 2hours and 30minutes! I think I can. What do you think?

7. What is your favorite app on your phone?

I'd have to say Instagram and My Fitness Pal. However, I think MapMyRun has been my friend lately as well... :)

8. What is that ONE thing you can't live without?

My iPhone. I'd probably be ok with someone stealing my wallet more than my iPhone! Oh wait, that did happen!

9. What is your favorite outfit?

I'm a jeans, shirt, and boots kinda gal. Although a bikini on the beach with a pina colada is an awesome outfit too ;)

10. Chocolate or Vanilla. 

Oooh! I can't decide. Can I have both?

I should be doing work instead of working on my blog! lol...need more time in my life!

1. I’m always thinking…even when you think I’m done, I’m still thinking. Ruminating thoughts? That’s my middle name.
2. I was born in Peru, however my lineage is Chinese, Italian, Afro-Peruvian, Spanish, Basque, and English. If you come to my family gatherings, you don’t know if to speak English, Spanish, or Chinese.
3. I was in two different dance companies in college. I’m always dancing…yes, even when people are watching!
4. I hated cheese when I was younger. I loooove cheese now :)
5. I’ve never met a chocolate I did not like.
6. Luis Miguel was my first concert ever in 1988! (He's the guy Mariah Carey dated before she “lost it”)
7. I am a Florida Gator..."where the girls are the fairesssssttttt"! I went to University of Florida for my Bachelors. I highly encourage everyone to go away to college if you can! 
8. I really enjoy watching the Parade of Nations of the Olympics Opening Ceremony and figuring out their athletes.
9. I named my first car Henry…my second car Cindy. Cindy is still kicking, haha!
10. My current go to drinks…Raspberry Shock Top and the different Cupcake Vineyard wines.
11. I love making my own green smoothies with peanut butter, bananas, and spinach!

In bed at home, hoping to finish this homework super quick :)

2) If you won the lottery today, who is the first person you'd call and why?

El husband, he’ll be happy to know we can pay off our student loans and go on a trip somewhere.

3) What’s on your key ring?

Other than my keys…Keroppi who has survived the last 13 years in my key chain! A pink Tinkerbelle “A” given to me by Libby, a Miami Remembers Betty bottle cap key chain, and my CVS Rewards card.

4) If you could meet one person in your lifetime, past or present, who would it be?

Just one? Well, I’m going to say Christian Bale because he is a hottie and an amazing actor. Inspirational, I would say Gandhi. He can find happiness in anything.

5) How and where did you meet your best friend?

Our parents knew each other so she came over to visit soon after her move to the US. She didn’t like me because I didn’t stop talking on the phone to greet her so she hung out with my sister instead. Fast forward 2 years to the summer before our freshman year in high school, we were inseparable after that.

6) What was the last place you went on vacation to?

What do you define as a vacation? For me is a long car ride or a plane ride. However, now that $$ is limited, everywhere I go is a vacation for me, including Miami Beach! The last “long” road trip I took was to Key West for a 2-day visit.

7) What is the first thing you do in the morning when you wake up?

Check my phone for the time and turn off the alarm…I hate waking up late even though I’m on vacation. Look through my Instagram and look over FB.

8)  Look to your right, what do you see?

A night table with a lamp, iPod speakers, and hubby’s book “I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell”.

9) What is your favorite childhood memory?

Going camping with my parents and our family friends. We would go to the camping site near the beach or to the country club’s bungalows and/or campsites.

10) What is something you can never leave your house without?

My phone! I’m addicted, although I am getting better at "forgetting" it at home at times.

11) You're stuck in an elevator for 24 hrs, who would you choose to be stuck with?

El husband, he can make me laugh for days and makes me feel safe.
