Bella Italia
So we finally did it!
Renatto and I crossed the pond plus a few hills to make it to the good old boot of Europe. The weather was beautifully cold. Although many would hate it, I enjoyed experiencing the sun, the wind, the snow, and the cold. All but the rain, which made Venezia a little less enjoyable.
Our bus was full of Miami ladies from "Golden Tours" which if the name gives it away, then you will know.
Our little bus carried folks from all over the States: Las Vegas, Ohio, Wisconsin; and all over the world: Australia, South Africa, and Phillippines.
Here are some of my favorite scenic pictures from our trip...
Historic Roma: Collosseum and Vatican City
Positano: Streets, views, and the most delicious tangerines.
Amalfi: Get lost within the city's labyrinth of neverending streets that climb to the mountains.
Assisi: A street named after me, homage to St. Francis and the beautiful city surrounding the Cathedral.
San Marino: Small, beautiful country surrounded by medieval walls. Stay there one night and get to know this country's history.
Venezia: Beautiful, intricate, and COLD! My feet were wet for the most part of our visit! See the other leaning towers of Italia. Venezia with snow is a rarity according to Italians.
Lugano, Switzerland: Beautiful views of towns flourishing near the lakes and mountainside.
Milano: My favorite Duomo is found here. Gothic, grandiose, and historic! I will sit atop the Duomo during my next visit.
Bellagio: Adorable small town, colorful homes, narrow alleys, and structures to die for.
Pisa: Peek-a-boo!
Firenze: My favorite city! So much to see and so little time to do it all.
Siena: A homage to the Church were we married. "I'm on top of the world!"
CIAO BELLA ITALIA!
